Headlights not working honda CBF600

My dipped and full beam headlights don't come on. Usually dipped light always on when ignition turned on, but both still work when using 'pass' flashing switch. Tried WD40 on switch, no obvious loose wires, bulbs and fuses OK. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Check the starter switch. There is a hidden switch inside the starter switch. When the starter switch is pressed, this hidden switch disengages the headlight. This is to ensure that the starter gets maximum power when starting and not partially robbed by the headlight. Depending on the version, this switch would be connected to the black/red & blue/white wires.

A way to confirm is to partially jumper these 2 wires.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Good stuff my man. I had this same problem and I was freaking out but it turned out my ignition switch was stuck in a little bit. Thank you so much dude.

Hello, apologies for the silly question but i am unsure. I'm having the same issue with lights (front and back), when you say 'starter switch' is this also known as the 'kill switch'?

Dipped headlights are intermittent

Look for the RELAYS for the lights. They are usually on the fuse box. Replace the headlight relay.

Dipped headlights

Did you check if one of the bulb elements are burned out?

The single head light has two elements (high beam and low beam).
Usually, you ride with the low beam on all the time, so it's the first to burn out, leaving the high beam still working.

If the tail light/brake light is a single bulb, same thing.

Replaced battery in crv and now headlights don't work

Check the low beam fuse in the fuse box, usually a 20A. If the fuse is blown/shorted during the replacement of the battery, your lights won't work. Replace the fuse if that's your case. Hope this helps.
